The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Alberta (UPAAAC) will host its U.P. at Kaibigan Golf Tournament Fundraiser at the River’s Edge Golf Club in Okotoks on August 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm.
This tournament is the top fund raiser event of the UPAAA organization as it is a venue for sponsors to advertise their businesses or individuals to post positive messages. 100% of the proceeds from the golf tournament goes to the UPAAA Scholarship fund which was created to assist deserving and financially challenged U.P. students with their university expenses. We have also awarded $500 bursaries to three Calgary students to help with their post secondary expenses. Click here to see our scholars.
The tournament's play format is SCRAMBLE which is popular and fun for fund-raiser events because it allows players of all ages and skill levels to compete and contribute to their team's success. New for this year's tournament is the COMPETITIVE stream where joiners can enter as a team.
Join us on this fun-filled event and be part of a UP student’s success academically and professionally. Here are the different ways you can support this fund raiser:

Skins Game for Competitive Teams
To join the skins game, each competitive team player will pay $20.

● The team with the lowest unique score on a hole wins the skin.
● If two or more teams tie for the lowest score, the skin carries over to the next hole.

● Turn in only one official scorecard per team, signed by a player.
● In case of a tie for overall standings (if prizes are awarded), the winner is decided by a retrogression scorecard playoff:
○ Best team score on last 9 holes, then last 6, 3, then hole-by-hole.
