UPAAA, in partnership with the Consulate General of the Philippines in Calgary, Alberta and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), and in collaboration with the Fiesta Filipino Council of Alberta, will organize events to show the films -
ANAC TI PATING (directed by Martin Masadao) and KANANA KANU (directed by Jocelyn Banasan-Kapuno) on June 29 and June 22 respectively at the new iconic Central Public Library performance hall.
Both films are produced by the Film Development Council of the Philippines and will be shown in Calgary, through the courtesy of the Consulate General of the Philippines in Calgary, AB, for FREE.
This a joint project of the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary, Film Development Council of the Philippines, UP Alumni Association of Alberta, Calgary Public Library and Philippine Festival Council of Alberta to celebrate the 121st Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, the Philippine Heritage Month, and the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Canada Diplomatic Relations.
